What is the capacity of Ash Point Estate?

Ash Point Estate can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests for a wedding or event. The mansion can accommodate 12 overnight guests.

Are there accommodations for overnight travelers?

Our estate house provides accommodations for up to 12 guests. There are several hotels and B&Bs nearby, including:

Are there airports and train stations nearby?

    Is there on-site parking?

    Yes, we offer onsite parking for all guests and vendors.

    Is Ash Point Estate accessible and ADA compliant?

    The entire event venue is ADA compliant, with a ground-level entrance and accessible restrooms. The main level of the mansion is accessible, but the upper level is only accessble by stairs.

    Will you help me design a floor plan for my event?

    We will work with you to design a layout for your event that incorporates your vision and facilitates a smooth flow. We will review table sizes, location, guests per table, dance floor, and food station so that no detail is overlooked.

    Do you provide tables and chairs?

    We will provide the following equipment:

    • 20 wooden tables
    • 150 wooden crossback chairs
    • 6 wine barrel tables

    May we use the caterer of our choice?

    Ash Point Estate does not provide catering. Our Favorite Vendors page has a list of recommended caterers, but you may use the caterer of your choice. Our only requirements are that they are licensed, provide proof of insurance, and agree to our reasonable policies.

    We offer a prep kitchen for caterers with a separate entrance. Our kitchen amenities include commercial refrigerators, 3 bay sink, and stainless steel countertops throughout.

    How about other vendors? Are we permitted to choose them?

    You may select the event professionals of your choice. The only requirements are that they are licensed, provide proof of insurance, and agree to our reasonable policies.

    Can you refer me to other event professionals?

    Our Favorite Vendors page has a list of recommended event professionals.  If you are looking for something you don’t see on the list, just ask us.

    What about alcohol?

    Alcohol is permitted but not provided by Ash Point Estate. To serve alcohol, you must engage a bar service. Often, this service can be provided by your caterer.

    Who is responsible for trash and cleaning?

    Your caterer and other vendors are responsible for either removing their trash from the property or depositing it in our outdoor trash dumpster. Ash Point Estate will handle the general cleaning of the venue before and after your event.

    Is Ash Point Estate a good location for a destination wedding?

    Absolutely! Ash Point Estate is that perfect getaway and destination located in the heart of MidCoast Maine with acoastal vibe and luxury setting. It is convenient to airports, lodging, resturants, and fun activities for your guests.

    Where can we have the wedding ceremony?

    Ceremonies can be held outdoors in our beautiful space overlooking the Penobscot Bay and Camden Hills State Park. We have multiple outdoor locations for our couples to choose their perfect spot for their intimate ceremony.

    What about a rehearsal?

    With our Wedding Weekend package, your rehearsal and rehearsal dinner will take place the day before your wedding day. Ash Point Estate provides tables and chairs, including the set up for each of these smaller gatherings during your wedding weekend.
    On-site rehearsals are not available with single-day venue rentals.

    Can we host a farewell brunch?

    With our Wedding Weekend package, you can host a farewell brunch the day after your wedding. Ash Point Estate will provide tables and chairs, including set up for all of the smaller gatherings during your wedding weekend.

    Do you require that we have a day-of wedding coordinator?

    To ensure that your day runs smoothly, we require that you provide a wedding planner or day-of wedding coordinator. Our Favorite Vendors list includes wedding coordinators who are familiar with our venue.
